Doing Business with SHA

The Syracuse Housing Authority Purchasing Department is located at 516 Burt St., at the corner of Burt and Almond. Offices are open between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; SHA observes all federal holidays. Vendors and Sales Representatives are seen by appointment only. The Purchasing Department may be reached by calling 475-6181 and asking for the Purchasing Department.

The main stockroom is located at 516 Burt Street. It can be accessed from a gate at the corner of Almond and Renwick. There is a receiving dock and reasonable room for tractor-trailer delivery. Stockroom hours for deliveries are 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Contact the Stockroom directly for further delivery information at 470-4283.

SHA receives automotive and groundskeeping items at its Grounds & Garage facility at 218 New St., which is located between Adams Street and the railroad overpass off of South State Street.

Office supplies and Courier delivery envelopes (for example, FedEx) are received at the main administrative office at 516 Burt Street during regular business hours.

SHA requires that all purchases be transacted through the Purchasing Department, with the issuance of an authorized purchase order. Vendors accepting a purchase without an authorized purchase order risk non-payment. SHA is a tax exempt government entity.
