Neighborhood Solutions
Neighborhood Solutions, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Syracuse Housing Authority (SHA) residents and the surrounding community. Through charitable partnerships, fundraising, grants, and community donations, Neighborhood Solutions supports programs and initiatives that reduce food insecurity, promote youth engagement, expand educational opportunities, and strengthen community well-being.
Neighborhood Solutions operates and supports resident food pantries, provides resources to address basic needs, and helps fund community initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for individuals and families. Neighborhood Solutions initiatives include SHA’s Annual $10K Youth Basketball Tournament, the Annual Neighborhood Health & Wellness Fair, and the Brexialee Torres-Ortiz Memorial Scholarship, which provides financial assistance to a graduating SHA resident pursuing higher education.
As SHA’s charitable partner, Neighborhood Solutions serves as a vehicle for philanthropic giving, allowing individuals, businesses, and community organizations to invest in programs that foster healthy neighborhoods, educational achievement, violence prevention, and resident success.
