Public Notice for Syracuse Housing Authority’s Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP)

The Syracuse Housing Authority (SHA) is proposing revisions to its Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) for the Public Housing Program. Residents, applicants, and members of the public are invited to review the proposed changes and submit comments during the public comment period, which will run from Friday, August 14 through Monday, September 28, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
A public hearing will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Syracuse Housing Authority, 516 Burt Street, Syracuse, NY 13202. Individuals wishing to speak are encouraged to register before the meeting begins, and all interested persons will have an opportunity to provide comments before the proposed policy is presented to the SHA Board of Commissioners for adoption.
