Food Bank of Central New York delivers fresh produce, dairy, and bread donated by area grocery stores on a daily basis to community organizations for immediate distribution to neighborhood residents. Syracuse City School District Free Meals
Free Meals for School Aged Children: 10:00 a.m. to noon.
They are available to any school kids in the city, no matter their age.

SNAP BENEFITS
Online: You can file an application online at www.mybenefits.ny.gov. The completed online Supplemental Nutrition Assistance application will be sent to the agency and you will be screened for expedited Supplemental Nutrition Assistance within five days and have a scheduled phone interview to determine eligibility.
By telephone: You can request an application by calling our office at (315) 435-2700. We will mail you an application and you can either return it by mail or drop it off in-person. You will need to be interviewed and the interview can be done by telephone or in-person whichever you prefer.
In-person: You can come into our office at 2nd floor Civic Center, TA/SNAP Intake 421 Montgomery Street and we will give you an application. You can submit it that day as long as you have filled in your name, address, telephone number (if you have one) and signed the application. We will give you an appointment for a future interview which can be done by telephone or in-person.

Clients seeking Medicaid/Chronic Care
If under 65 and not certified disabled, call NYSOH at 1-855-355-5777 or apply online at nystateofhealth.ny.gov.
If 65 or older and/or certified disabled, mail an application to the Medicaid Office at 600 S. State St., 7TH fl. KOB, Syracuse, NY 13202.
If you need to apply for Nursing Home of Home Care services, mail an application to the Medicaid office at 600 S. State St. 6th fl. KOB, Syracuse NY 13202.
